Target updated their 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray pre-orders today and added a big one that fans of DC superhero movies and Zack Snyder should get excited about.
Per the listing, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will be coming to 4K UHD on March 23rd, 2021.
Update: An Amazon pre-order listing is now live and priced at $19.99.
That date matches up nicely with when Zack Snyder’s Justice League will premiere on HBO Max, which is five days earlier.
Snyder had already confirmed that Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was being remastered for IMAX so naturally this 4K edition will include that.
What’s unknown is whether Snyder will follow the 4:3 aspect ratio he’s using for Zack Snyder’s Justice League in preparation of a future IMAX release, stick with a more traditional cinematic aspect ratio, or include both.
Look for an official Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice in the near future barring any changes to Warner’s home video release strategy.
