Every holiday season brings around a handful of high profile Blu-ray box sets, and this year’s marquee attraction is hands down the Batman The Complete Television Series Limited Edition Blu-ray, DVD and Digital set coming in November. Make that November 11, the release date that will be formally unveiled at the Batman TV Series Comic-Con panel on Thursday.
Thus far we only know the broad strokes of what this immense set will include. All 120 episodes of the original series have been painstakingly remastered, and numerous new bonus features have been created utilizing the talent from the show.
This is pure speculation, but I have a feeling the packaging will resemble the 1966-68 Batmobile.
Amazon.com has recently begun accepting pre-orders for Batman The Complete Television Series Limited Edition Blu-ray and by doing so revealed what the set will cost. Warner Home Video has set the SRP at $269.97, and pre-orders are being taken at a much more reasonable $188.98 price. Ignore the temporary packaging artwork Amazon is using; the real deal will be unveiled at this Thursday’s Comic-Con panel.
