This year Warner’s Batman: The Animated Series (BTAS) celebrates its 25th anniversary and was featured at Warner Archive’s Comic-Con panel with a big surprise announcement.
On October 16th you will be able to watch Batman: The Complete Animated Series on Blu-ray for the first time in a big deluxe limited edition numbered box set with 30,000 total being made. Each of the 85 episodes has been meticulously remastered in high definition and word from those that attended the panel is the highest praise.
As an added bonus, all 24 episodes of The New Batman Adventures that aired after BTAS and the Mask of the Phantasm & Mr Freeze movies art included. The big box set also includes three Funko figures (Batman, Harley Quinn, Joker), an art book, cards depicting select scenes, a making-of behind-the-scenes featurette, and other inclusions yet-to-be-revealed.
Amazon began taking pre-orders for Batman: The Complete Animated Series and it didn’t take long for the $100+ box set to rocket to the top spot on Amazon’s Blu-ray bestsellers chart.
