Batman: The Complete Television Series Blu-ray Comparison: Remastered vs Original Footage

November 11 marks the release of Batman: The Complete Television Series on Blu-ray, a landmark box set that fans have been requesting for years that now stands less than two weeks away from its hotly anticipated debut.

We’ve already seen the Batman: The Complete Television Series trailer and it’s quite obvious, even on YouTube, that the remastered effort by Warner Bros. will pay dividends in terms of audio and visual fidelity. To further stress the upgrade, Warner Bros. has released a new split-screen comparison video below that features the original footage on the left and the newly remastered footage on the right.

The scene depicted is from the episode ‘The Joker Goes To School’ and features Batman (Adam West) and Robin (Burt Ward) stuck in the Joker’s (Cesar Romero) lair. Detail between the two versions is night and day, and it’s also obvious that the blown out colors from the original footage are dialed back a tad for the newly remastered presentation.

Batman The Complete TV Series Limited Edition is currently available to pre-order at online retailer Amazon.com at a 35 percent discount to its SRP price.
