Universal Studios Home Entertainment have formally announced the Back to the Future Trilogy 4K Ultra HD release date is set for October 20th, 2020. That’s a lot of 20’s.
Over at Amazon.com, they’re already taking pre-orders for a special exclusive gift set edition that includes a miniature hoverboard from Back to the Future II, complete with hovering effect. There is no way these remain in stock very long considering this franchise’s popularity.

We’re getting all of the Back to the Future films on 4K this year because it marks the original’s 35th anniversary from Steven Spielberg, Robert Zemeckis and Bob Gale. An additional disc is included with over an hour’s worth of newly produced bonus features.
Tech specs include all three HDR formats: Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and HDR 10.
