The latest season of FX’s Archer starring a super spy’s and his trusty globetrotting team is headed to home video shortly after the calendar flips to a new year. Fox Home Entertainment has confirmed the Archer Season 5 Blu-ray and DVD release date is set for January 6, 2015.
The irreverent comedy Archer showed up in the national media over the past couple months when FX announced Archer’s non-fictional organization International Secret Intelligence Service, with the unfortunate abbreviation “ISIS,” would be phased out following recent real world events and replaced with the CIA. Season 5 is the last season that will feature the agency’s original name.
Additional media attention or not, Archer provides continues to be popular for FX with no signs of slowing. Season 6 debuts this January on FX.
Archer Season 5 on Blu-ray will be presented in 1.78:1 1080p video and 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio. Here are the bonus features that will accompany all 13 of the Season 5 episodes, followed by the season’s official synopsis.
