When Gina Carano was dismissed from The Mandalorian by Disney and Lucasfilm, some fans rushed to scoop up her existing and coming action figures in a heartbeat.
Some became many when Hasbro followed up that announcement with one of their own: they would no longer be producing Cara Dune action figures of any kind.
Since then the well has run dry. Cara Dune figures from Hasbro’s Black Series, The Vintage Collection and yet-to-come Retro Collection sold out everywhere.
Well, almost.
You can’t individually pre-order a Cara Dune Retro Collection figure anywhere that’s not the jacked-up secondary market.
You can, however, pre-order the entire case of The Mandalorian Retro Collection figures at EE that includes Cara Dune for $83.99. Who knows? A year from now she might be worth more than the entire case.
This case also includes The Mandalorian, The Child, Greef Karga, IG-11, Kuill, and Moff Gideon figures in all their retro-Kenner 5 points-of-articulation glory.
Outside of that case you’re just as likely to see Cara Dune’s action figure directly available for sale online as you are to have her character appear in Season 3 of The Mandalorian.
