The Artillery Stormtrooper didn’t have much screen time in The Mandalorian Season 2 on Disney+. His distinctive yellow markings and mortar launcher certainly left a lasting impression for fans. Now this new type of Stormtrooper variant will be joining Hasbro’s Star Wars Black Series action figure line.
The Mandalorian Black Series Artillery Stormtrooper is an Amazon exclusive and available to pre-order right now at a price of $26.49. Get him while he lasts because even though only one appears in The Tragedy episode, he has “pre-orders sold out” practically etched in his armor.
The Artillery Stormtrooper comes packing his shoulder pauldron, a standard Stormtrooper blaster, a mortar launcher, and a grenade to place inside the launcher. In addition, his backpack includes a slot for the grenade as well as three extra grenades. You know some folks will end up losing the first one.
There are still several more figures needed to complete the fight scene in The Tragedy episode that the Artillery Stormtrooper appears in. Boba Fett in his nomad robes and Fennec Shand are already confirmed, and a re-armored Fett is strongly rumored to be on the way.
The biggest missing figure is the Dark Trooper, and it’s hard to imagine this guy won’t be released sometime in 2022 in both the Black Series and The Vintage Collection.
