This Sunday will deliver the penultimate episode of AMC’s Fear The Walking Dead and set the table for the Season 1 finale a week later. To whet your appetite, the cable network has released a new clip from Episode 5 titled ‘Cobalt,’ as well as an online version of the teaser trailer that debuted at the conclusion of Episode 4 this past Sunday.
Last week’s Fear The Walking Dead episode sent the series in a new direction as the military established their martial law and emerged as more of a villain than any of the walkers roaming outside the protective fence perimeter. They’ve also proven to have zero tolerance for any civilians posing any kind of threat to their rule — infected or not — and kidnapped Rick from his home to conclude the episode.
In this Episode 5 clip, the military is starting to crack at the seams and we all know the walkers will eventually win out. One has to believe that someone will make a grave mistake and walkers will come charging through the fence to forever disturb the temporary peace within.
Though walkers were noticeably absent in Episode 4, expect them to return in Episode 5 and hopefully arrive in numbers for the finale. Catch Fear The Walking Dead on AMC this Sunday at 9/8c.
