Warner Brothers Home Entertainment has announced HBO’s The Leftovers Season 1 Blu-ray release date, as well as DVD and Digital HD, is scheduled for October 6, ahead of the impending Season 2 premiere. Full details about the upcoming release including the high resolution cover art are ahead.
The Leftovers was conceived by Damon Lindelof of Lost fame and novelist Tom Perrotta. Though the series about a vanishing similar to that of the Rapture and those who survive aired on HBO, it was developed and produced by Warner Brothers and is the first WB series to ever air on the pay cable channel.
The Leftovers stars Justin Theroux (Mulholland Drive), Amy Brenneman (Private Practice), Christopher Eccelston (Thor: The Dark World), Liv Tyler (The Lord of the Rings films), Chris Zylka (The Amazing Spider-Man 2), Margaret Qualley (Palo Alto), Carrie Coon (Law & Order: Special Victims Unit), Emily Meade (Gimme Shelter), Amanda Warren (The Closer), Ann Dowd (Masters of Sex), Michael Gaston (The Mentalist), Max Carver (Desperate Housewives), Charlie Carver (Desperate Housewives) and Annie Q (Are We There Yet?).
The Blu-ray edition of The Leftovers Season 1 is a combo pack release with Digital HD and will include all 10 episodes plus the following bonus features:
