The dead will walk a couple months early this year when AMC’s Fear The Walking Dead makes its series debut sometime in August. With the big premiere only a couple months away, it’s about time the first Fear The Walking Dead poster made its debut. And it has!
Below is the first Fear The Walking Dead poster that features a lone walker stumbling down a corridor while someone in shadow points a gun at him (or her) in the foreground. Additional walkers or humans can be seen through a glass window in the background.
The poster design aligns with the show’s creative direction that will examine the early days of the zombie apocalypse in the urban jungle of Los Angeles. The woods of Georgia featured in The Walking Dead have been replaced with buildings and endless concrete making for a new setting where walkers will quickly grow in numbers.
While this first Fear The Walking Dead poster is OK, it doesn’t begin to reach the iconic status of the first The Walking Dead poster featuring Rick Grimes on his horse, traveling down a deserted highway into the heart of Atlanta, Georgia. This poster’s grittier feel might be a hint at the show’s tone.
We’re still waiting for a Fear The Walking Dead premiere date and will pass it along as soon as AMC makes it known.
