Ready for more James Bond? On Thursday, Sony Pictures will be formally revealing the James Bond 24 title and cast list. If one of the recent rumors pan out then a most excellent Bond film is shaping up.
Bond 24, as it will be known as for another 48 hours or so, will once again star Daniel Craig as the titular hero working for her Majesty’s Secret Service under the direction of director Sam Mendes. Craig will presumably be joined by Skyfall cast mates Ralph Fiennes as M, Ben Whishaw as Q, and Naomie Harris as invaluable Moneypenny.
The big Bond 24 cast rumor suggests that Oscar-winner Christoph Waltz (Inglourius Basterds) will play classic Bond villain Ernst Stavro Blofeld. If true, Waltz would become the sixth actor to portray Blofeld following Donald Pleasance (You Only Live Once), Charles Gray (Diamonds Are Forever), Max von Sydow (Never Say Never Again), Anthony Dawson (From Russia With Love), and Telly Savalas (On Her Majestry’s Secret Service).
Right now any new Bond 24 cast members are purely speculation, but it’s great to know the real deal and Bond 24 movie title is only a couple days away.
As for a Bond 24 release date, that’s already locked into November 2015, so expect production to get underway not too long after Thursday’s big announcement.
