Now that AMC’s The Walking Dead set yet another cable ratings record with its Season 5 premiere, a cool 17.5 million viewers last Sunday night plus even bigger numbers when factoring in Live+3 DVR viewers, it’s time for the new season to push ahead and for new stories to unfold.
We already know that Father Gabriel (Seth Gilliam), a character from Robert Kirkman’s comic series, will debut in episode 502 thanks to a sneak preview clip aired during The Talking Dead. Carl will convince Rick to help a man they hear yelling for help, and that man will join the cast as a series regular.
Little about the next episode beyond the Father Gabriel meeting in the woods is known, and two new images released from the episode don’t tell us much, either.
The first image features Glenn Rhee (Steven Yeun) in a bulding, holding his firearm and looking on edge or concerned. He and a few others are on a supplies run, hence the uncertainty on Glenn’s face.
Image number two shows Carl (Chandler Riggs), Michonne (Danai Gurira) and the rest of Rick’s group making their way through the woods, mostly likely from the opening moments of the episode.
The Walking Dead Season 5, Episode 502, ‘Strangers’ premieres this upcoming Sunday on AMC.
