The wait for the Batman: The Complete Television Series Blu-ray details are over as Warner Home Video has sent over a detailed list of everything packed into this amazing upcoming box set on the heels of its unveiling at Comic-Con a little over a week ago.
Batman: The Complete Television Series on Blu-ray starring Adam West and Burt Ward, and also featuring Julie Newmar, Cesar Romero, Liberace, Vincent Price, Burgess Meredith, Bruce Lee and Sammy Davis Jr., is a combo release that will include remastered versions of all 120 episodes of the ’66 Batman television series on both Blu-ray and Digital HD. A separate DVD set and the ability to purchase the entire series on Digital HD will also be available, but the Blu-ray set is the one fans will want to set their sights on.
Let’s focus on the Batman: The Complete Television Series Blu-ray and Digital HD combo set (SRP $269.97, pre-order here at Amazon for only $183.99). This Limited Edition set will be individually numbered making it all the more collectible. Once they’re gone, they’re gone. The remastered episodes will be presented in their original TV aspect ratios in full 1080p HD, and the audio has also been remastered. I don’t have specs on that at this time.
Premium extras included with the Limited Edition set include the following:
- An exclusive Hot Wheels Replica Batmobile
- Adam West Scrapbook – featuring never-before-seen photos from Adam’s own archives
- 44 Vintage Trading Cards
- Ultraviolet Digital Copy on all 120 episodes
- Episode guide – includes synopsis on all episodes, photos from the series and a personal letter from Adam West to the fans
Sorry, the set doesn’t include a working can of shark repellent. You can’t win them all. Here are the on-disc bonus features:
- Hanging with Batman – A true slice of life in the words of Adam West.
- Holy Memorabilia Batman! – A journey into the most sought-after collectibles through the eyes of three extraordinary collectors.
- Batmania Born! – Building the World of Batman – Explore the art and design behind the fiction.
- Bats of the Round Table – A candid conversation with Adam West and his celebrity friends, chatting all things Bat ’66.
- Inventing Batman in the words of Adam West (episode 1 &2) – A rare treat for the fans as Adam discusses his script notes on bringing Batman to life in the first and second episodes.
- Na Na Na Batman! – Hollywood favorite’s stars and producers recount their favorite Batman memories.
Warner Home Video is also offering the complete first season of Batman on DVD. That one carries an SRP of $39.98.
