The Fault in Our Stars was unstoppable at the box office this weekend and has earned nearly $50 million through its first three days of release in North America. Naturally this success should translate into steady home video pre-orders for the young adult love story starring Shailene Woodley, and Twentieth Century Fox is wasting little time securing as many early pre-orders as they possibly can.
Fox and online retailer Amazon.com were ready on Friday when The Fault in Our Stars movie debuted with active pre-order listings for the film on Blu-ray and DVD. The Blu-ray edition includes a Digital HD copy and it’s unclear whether the DVD will as well this early in the game.
Pre-orders for each title are shaved down in price by roughly 30 percent off their list price, right in line with Amazon’s typical pricing. This puts The Fault in Our Stars Blu-ray price at $27.99 and the DVD price at $20.99.

As for The Fault in Our Stars Blu-ray and DVD release date, the best guess scenario would place it between mid and late September. We’ll have a more precise release date and all the disc details to share later this summer when Fox officially announces the title.
