Marvel Studios and Disney have announced that Captain America: The Winter Soldier is coming to Disney Movies Anywhere on August 19, followed by a Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray and DVD release date on September 9.
Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, Captain America: The Winter Soldier is the third of five films in Phase 2 of Marvel’s Cinematic Universe. It stars Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Cobie Smulders, Frank Grillo, Emily VanCamp, Hayley Atwell, Robert Redford and Samuel L. Jackson, and was based off a screenplay by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely. To date, the film has earned a staggering $708.5 million at the global box office.
Marvel is offering two skus of Captain America: The Winter Soldier on Blu-ray, each with unique cover artwork that you can see below. The first is a Blu-ray 3D combo with Blu-ray and Digital HD. The second is a single-disc Blu-ray only configuration.
On the specs side, Marvel is presenting Captain America: The Winter Soldier on Blu-ray 3D and Blu-ray in 2.4:1 1080p video and 7.1 DTS-HD Master Audio. A mostly complete list of bonus features is as follows:
