The Walking Dead Season 3 Midseason Finale Ratings Almost Sets Series Record

The Walking Dead Season 3 Midseason Finale Ratings Almost Sets Series RecordAMC’s The Walking Dead continued its cable ratings dominance with a Season 3 midseason finale performance that even the networks must be jealous of.

Sunday night’s final fall episode of The Walking Dead attracted 10.5 million total viewers, the type of number usually put up by a big network series. That’s the second largest viewership for the zombie apocalypse series since the Season 3 premiere astounded with 10.9 million viewers. And Rick and the Governor haven’t even met yet.

More impressive is the 6.9 rating The Walking Dead put up in the 18-49 demo that advertisers flock to. That’s a number that matches or exceeds some of the biggest network demo hits such as The Voice and even demo darling The Big Bang Theory.

Expect the next episode of The Walking Dead, due to premiere on February 10, to put up equally impressive numbers, if not set another new ratings record for the series.
