Agent Phil Coulson is the S.H.I.E.L.D. agent who ties the Marvel Cinematic Universe: Phase 1 films together. He’s the man who made the ultimate sacrifice to bring The Avengers together during the world’s darkest hour. Thanks to Hot Toys, he’s been perfectly miniaturized at 1:6 scale.
Today Sideshow Collectibles began taking pre-orders for the Hot Toys Agent Phil Coulson 1/6 scale figure at a price of $174.99 plus $10 for shipping. The amazingly accurate figure is modeled after actor Clark Gregg as he appears in The Avengers, wearing the signature S.H.I.E.L.D. black suit.
Also included with the Agent Phil Coulson Hot Toys figure are 5 interchangeable palms, a S.H.I.E.L.D. top secret folder, set of bloodied Captain America playing cards, pistol, headset, watch, walkie talkie, mobile phone, sunglasses, staff card that clips onto suit, and the Destroyer Gun that was fired into Loki’s chest. He will also come with a stand that matches stands appearing wtih the other Hot Toys figures from The Avengers line.
In the U.S., the Agent Phil Coulson Hot Toys figure is exclusive to Sideshow Collectibles. The only other way to get him would be to order overseas or wait until they hit the second market after the estimated June 2013 ship date.

Thus far two of the three Hot Toys S.H.I.E.L.D. agents have sold out: Nick Fury and Hawkeye. Black Widow will likely sell out on or shortly after her expected late December release date. Will Phil Coulson sell out as well even though he’s just a guy in a suit? I suspect Hot Toys was cautious in how many they produced and Coulson will prove to be one of the scarcer figures in the line a few years down the road.
