NBA 2K13 is bringing legitimate NBA hoops action to a Nintendo console for the first time in as long as I can remember. Like fellow professional sports launch title Madden NFL 13, it makes the jump to Wii U with some exclusive GamePad features that won’t be found anywhere else.
I haven’t tried out NBA 2K13 on Wii U yet and am curious to see if the GamePad playcalling interferes with the game still going on underneath the big popup menu on the GamePad. Even if the menu doesn’t appear on the main TV screen, your eyes would still be focused on the GamePad while the shot clock ticks down and the opponent looks for an easy steal.
