NBC’s Revolution was “light’s out” in the ratings for its series premiere this past Monday night. It was the highest rated drama opening in three years and has NBC feeling bullish about the show’s future.
With more episodes still to shoot for Revolution’s first season, showrunner Eric Kripke is filling in some new roles with familiar faces. In fact, three new roles filled today all worked previously with Kripke on The CW’s Supernatural.
First up is genre favorite Mark Pellegrino, best known for his role on another J.J. Abrams series Lost, but seen more recently as Nick/Lucifer in Supernatural and on NBC’s Grimm, Showtime’s Dexter, and Syfy’s Being Human. He will play a militia officer on Revolution in the third episode and hopefully not blend in with the scores of other militia dudes on the show.
Todd Stashwick played Dracula in the 2008 Supernatural episode ‘Monster Movie.’ On Revolution, Stashwick will appear in the sixth episode as a drug dealer.
Young Colin Ford has played young Sam Winchester in multiple seasons of Supernatural. He will pop up in episode 7 of Revolution as brother to another boy snatched by those overconfident militia guys.
