AMC has hit a nice groove with selecting the key art imagery for each season of The Walking Dead. The newest poster representing Season 3 of the hit zombie apocalypse series is proof of that.
For Season 1, the striking imagery of Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) riding a horse down a deserted freeway into Atlanta, GA set the ominous tone that would define the series. Season 2’s key art once again focused on Rick and that season’s main location, Hershel’s Farm. Rick can be seen running toward the farm in a scene similar – but not quite the same – as one from the show.
The Rick theme is alive and well for The Walking Dead: Season 3 poster. In the key art, a seemingly angered Rick stands on a toppled bus with his revolver drawn. In the background is the prison that will serve as one of the key locations for Season 3.
The tagline reads, “Fight the Dead. Fear the Living.”
Season 3 of The Walking Dead will premiere on Sunday, October 14 at 9/8c. Click the poster below for a high-res look.
