Warner Bros. Interactive is aiming to keep the Harry Potter franchise alive and well this fall with Harry Potter for Kinect.
The exclusive Xbox 360 Kinect game has been assembled from the ground up to take advantage of Kinect’s motion-control and scanning capabilities. Players will be able to scan their faces into the game and play alongside the digital versions of Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe), Ron Weasley (Rupert Grint) and Hermoine Granger (Emma Watson) through events from all eight films.
Harry Potter for Kinect builds upon Kinect integration in the most recent Potter adventure for Xbox 360 by adding voice commands for spell casting to physical maneuvers. It will also feature flying a broomstick, Quidditch, mini-games, cooperative play, wizard dueling, and choosing a House at Hogwarts.
Xbox 360 Kinect is starving for some killer applications and Harry Potter for Kinect has the potential to be one of its better sellers this upcoming holiday season.
