One of the E3 2011 surprises was a lengthy live demo of the new Tomb Raider game, designed from the ground up to successfully take advantage of the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 hardware. Publisher Square Enix has been relatively quiet since that demo, but now that another E3 is upon us, they are geared up to show us more of the game.
To kick off your holiday weekend, Square Enix has released a Tomb Raider tease for the upcoming full E3 2012 Tomb Raider trailer. It shows a wounded and physically beaten down Lara Croft in a new dangerous environment, scaling the wreckage of an old fighter crumbling beneath her.
The full Tomb Raider trailer will debut on Spike on Thursday, May 31 at 10pm PST/1am EST. With any luck, Square Enix will announce a firm release date the following week at E3 that hasn’t fallen victim to the “pushed to 2013” bug several other franchise have already succombed to this year.
