Director Sean Durkin’s Martha Marcy May Marlene was a darling to critics in 2011 and launched the career of Elizabeth Olsen, younger sister to the famous Olsen twins. It earned Durkin a Best Director award at Sundance and Olsen a Best Female Lead Independent Spirit Award nomination.
Fox will be bringing Martha Marcy May Marlene (say that 10 times fast) to Blu-ray and DVD on February 21. The release timing comes just ahead of the Academy Awards, which I assure you is no coincidence.
The film, which co-stars John Hawkes and Sarah Paulson, will be presented in Blu-ray in 2.4:1 1080p video and 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio. This career-launching type of film is one you want to see an ample supply of supplements attached to, and Fox is ready to deliver.
