The first single-player footage released from Battlefield 3 at E3 this past June featured a tank mission that saw the hulking rolling cannons crossing over the desert and into an enemy stronghold.
Tanks are just one of the vehicles that will not only appear, but be fully playable in Battlefield 3. At minimum the following new vehicles trailer from EA and Dice adds a jeep to the ground-based vehicle combat mechanics, as well as a jet fighter and helicopter for aerial assaults and combat. And you thought Ace Combat was the only way to embark on high-speed fighter missions.
Battlefield 3 deploys onto Xbox 360, PS3 and the PC on October 25. Though still over a week from its release, the Xbox 360 version is currently tracking in the third spot on Amazon.com’s hourly bestseller’s chart behind Batman: Arkham City. All four console versions of Battlefield 3 are currently in the top 10.
