Universal Studios Home Entertainment will release the Focus Features’ thriller The American starring George Clooney on Blu-ray and DVD on December 28.
The American was a pleasant surprise at the box office this past September where it won its opening weekend and went on to gross just under $55 million worldwide in ticket sales.
Bonus features on The American will be identical between the DVD and Blu-ray versions (not including BD-Live, uHear, pocket Blu, etc.) and include deleted scenes; Journey to Redemption: the making of The American – An inside look at the making of The American; and a commentary track with director Anton Corbijn. Tech specs on the Blu-ray are 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio and 2.35:1 1080p video.
