The Cartoon Network is planning to launch a new animated series based on The Green Lantern.
The news comes from a presentation in which Phil Kent, chairman and CEO of Time Warner’s Turner networks unit, showed a slide promoting ‘Green Lantern: The Animated Series.’ Later on in the presentation, it was revealed the show would be based on both The Green Lantern comic and the upcoming live-action film starring Ryan Reynolds.
Warner hopes to launch the show on the Cartoon Network in fall, 2011, where it would join a potentially fourth season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
