Update: Blu-ray cover art added below.
Lucasfilm has confirmed via a press release that the complete first season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars is coming to Blu-ray Disc and DVD on November 3.
Each set will include all 22 episodes and a quartet of bonus features. Technical specs were not confirmed in the announcement for Blu-ray but the DVD version will include 5.1 DTS audio (meaning 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio is a good bet for BD).
The Blu-ray version has been given an exclusive interactive bonus feature while the remaining supplements are shared between the two sets.
- The Jedi Temple Archives: An extensive database exploring test footage, early concept art, 3-D character and object turnarounds and early animation. The Archives is a rare look at the assets in various stages of creation for The Clone Wars, with a wealth of surprises and never-before seen moments sprinkled throughout. (BD Exclusive)
- Seven Director’s Cut Episodes: Rising Malevolence, Shadow of Malevolence, Lair of Grievous, Rookies, Storm Over Ryloth, Innocents of Ryloth
- 22 Episodic Featurettes that go behind-the-scenes with Supervising Director Dave Filoni and crew about the making-of each episode
- Spectacular 64 page production journal that includes early sketches, artist notes, and concept art from each episode from Season One
Star Wars The Clone Wars: Season One on Blu-ray carries a retail price of $59.99 ($15 more than DVD).
