The animated cult classic Fire and Ice was pre-announced by Blue Underground last fall when the studio first pledged its support for the Blu-ray Disc format.
Now the studio has formally announced an August 25 Blu-ray release date for the film from the director of the original animated The Lord of the Rings and the illustrator of Conan the Barbarian.
Fire and Ice on Blu-ray will be offered in its original 1.78:1 aspect ratio in 1080p video with 7.1 DTS-HD Master Audio and 7.1 Dolby TrueHD audio options. The disc will also include D-BOX Motion Code for D-BOX enabled home theater systems.
