Online retailer Amazon.com is spinning a new Blu-ray promotion geared towards putting a Blu-ray player into a few more homes.
For a limited time, anyone who purchases a Sony Playstation 3 40GB model or a Sony BDP-S300 Blu-ray Disc player can purchase the Sony Blu-ray starter pack for $80, or approximately $80 less than it typically sells for ($161.95).
Included in the starter pack are Black Hawk Down, The Adventures of Baron Munchausen, Dogma, A Few Good Men, Gattaca, Life of Brian: Collector’s Edition, Resident Evil: Apocalypse and The Fifth Element: Remastered.
Elsewhere on Amazon, Batman continues to look down upon other Blu-ray titles as Batman Begins, Batman Begins Limited Edition and Batman Gotham Knight hold onto the top three Blu-ray sales spots.
Iron Man: Special Collector’s Edition (still without a release date) and Cloverfield round out the top 5.
