Electronic Arts has announced the “hot” sequel Mercenaries 2: World in Flames has been given a green light for an August 31 release on Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Playstation 2 and the PC.
This massive open-world action shooter is set in Venezuela where a wealth of clients are looking for some hired guns. The rule of thumb is if you can see it, you can also buy it, steal it, or blow it up.
Mercenaries 2 will feature cooperative play for double the damage and double the fun. Cooperative play will be available via split-screen or online.
Also built in by developer Pandemic are roughly 130 vehicle types, playable water, landing zones for quick access to other areas, and weapons ranging from pistols to rocket launchers.
