‘The Bad Batch’ Rings in the Return of ‘Star Wars: The Clone Wars’

This Friday, February 21st, the seventh and final season of Dave Filoni and George Lucas’ Star Wars: The Clone Wars will premiere exclusively on Disney Plus. The return marks an incredible journey that began with an animated movie in August 2008 and wraps up over a decade later.

When The Clone Wars returns this Friday with The Bad Batch, it will both forge new stories and pay homage to what came before.

As it turns out, the Season 7 premiere episode’s title refers to a small group of genetically faulty clones whom operate with reckless abandon.

Longtime The Clone Wars fans will recall a reject clone back in Season 2 who became the focal point for an arc and a beloved character by the arc’s conclusion. His legacy carries on with the Bad Batch clones.

Here’s the first clip from The Clone Wars Season 7 Episode 1 that introduces the Bad Batch. Look for the episode to start streaming around midnight EST this Friday if The Mandalorian release schedule is any indication.
