Joss Whedon’s first and only season of Firefly will ride again on September 19th with a new complete series Blu-ray release to celebrate the 15th anniversary this year.
Firefly’s notable anniversary makes its a prime time to redeliver the series on Blu-ray. If you’ve been in the market for the previous edition of Firefly The Complete Series on Blu-ray, you’ve likely noticed the inflated secondary market prices for that out-of-print release. This new release will meet that demand.
It wouldn’t make much sense to celebrate Firefly’s 15th anniversary without some exclusive content and Fox aims to please in that department. The Firefly 15gh anniversary Blu-ray includes an exclusive Firefly poster and collectible character cards for a limited time only.
