Steelers vs 49ers Preview
It’s hard to be a Pittsburgh Steelers fan right now. And there’s little relief in sight.
The Steelers are 0-2 and without starting quarterback Ben Roethlisberger for the remainder of the season.
Mason Rudolph will make his first NFL start in Big Ben’s place. Last week he was efficient in relief of Ben in throwing 12 of 19 passes for 112 yards and a pair of touchdowns. He also threw a pick but it came off a tipped pass.
San Francisco has put the league on notice after winning their first two games 31-17 and 41-7 against the Bucs and Bengals, respectively.
They’ve been strong on both sides of the ball and emerged as a powerhouse team in the NFC. It’s amazing what a difference a healthy Jimmy Garopollo means to the growth of the surrounding cast.
