Namajunas vs Andrade UFC 237 Preview
Namajunas is putting her strawweight belt on the line against an opponent unlike any she’s fought before.
The 27-year-old Andrade is a strong Brazilian fighter with the ability to knockout opponents outright. If that weren’t scary enough, Namajunas is fighting on Andrade’s home turf in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Namajunas has only defended her title once, way back in April 2018. She won that rematch fight over Jedrzejczyk, but it’s a little concerning that Namajunas hasn’t stepped foot in the ring in just under 400 days.
Meanwhile Andrade knocked out Karolina Kowalkiewicz back in September.
The combination of travel and adjustment for Namajunas, coupled with Andrade’s more aggressive and powerful fighting style, and not having to travel, is why Andrade is favored to win this fight.
However, Namajunas has not been the favored bet in each of her last three fights, and she wound up winning all three.
