Colts vs Chargers Preview

With Andrew Luck’s abrupt retirement almost at the end of the preseason due to ongoing injuries and pain, Jacoby Brissett has been given the quarterback reigns and a new contract in Indy. He’s the guy going forward, plain and simple.

Where the Colts were previously entering the season with promise, now their season is full of uncertainty. Many questions will be answered today about how effective the Colts offense will be with Brissett under center.

The Chargers’ Philip Rivers was the only AFC starting quarterback to not take a single snap during the preseason.

A similar approach was taken by the Bears and their offense was putrid on Thursday in only putting 3 points on the board in a loss to the Packers.

A similar fate could befall the Chargers if Rivers and the first team offense come out rusty.
