The Pittsburgh Steelers will look to continue their impressive home record in season openers against the visiting Tennessee Titans in this week one NFL Sunday Football game with a scheduled start time of 1pm EST on Fox. Pittsburgh has won 11 straight games opening seasons at home, while the Titans hope to snap that streak with a deep team with high expectations to make noise in the Playoffs. You can find online live streaming instructions for this football game below.
Last season the Steelers got off to a good start and then quarterback Ben Roethlisberger went down with an injury. By the time he returned it was too late; the Steelers had finished 8-8 and ended up watching the Playoffs from the comfort of their homes. That’s not the season tenured coach Mike Tomlin, the team or the fans expected. This season they’re setting out to play beyond week 17.
It won’t be easy for the Steelers as they lost some key pieces during the offseason. He doesn’t have a go-to guy in the backfield anymore, and wide receiver Mike Wallace took his talents at catching long balls to South Beach. Wide receiver Heath Miller is questionable to play in the opener so it will be interesting to see who Big Ben is throwing to against the Titans.
Tennessee comes into this season coming off a disappointing 6-10 performance last year. To help right the ship, they overhauled their offensive line to give quarterback Jake Locker more time to throw. Jake was out five games due to a separated shoulder, so he will be out to prove something this season and hopes to stay healthy long enough to do it.
Last year the Titans beat the Steelers and will be looking to do so again today. They could get a big boost if running back Chris Johnson can find his rhythm again after a slow end to last season in which he failed to reach 100 yards rushing over the last five games. He still managed to run for 1,243 yards overall, so there’s plenty of yards left in those legs.
The 2013 NFL Football season schedule begins for the Tennessee Titans and Pittsburgh Steelers when their game kicks off at 1pm EST / 10am PST on Fox in high definition (HD). Sadly Fox does not offer a free live online streaming version of the game to watch anywhere, but you can still find it here via NFL Sunday ticket and watch it on TV and mobile devices via the Max package. It’s hard to bet against the Steelers with their home dominance on opening day with all those terrible towels waving so I predict a relatively easy Steelers win by no less than 10 points.
