The Carolina Panthers and New York Giants share the dubious distinction of not having notched a win entering week 3 of the 2013 NFL football season schedule. Only one of them will take a large step toward plugging a sinking ship, while the other will drop to 0-3 and find themselves searching for answers before the season spirals out of control. Watch Sunday Football online live stream instructions are found below.
The New York Giants have been a train wreck through their first two games. After coughing up six turnovers in a week 1 loss to the Cowboys, Eli Manning tosses four interceptions against the Broncos in Manning Bowl 3 and his team got spanked by Peyton Manning and the Broncos. Though two games the Giants have turned the ball over 10 times, and seven of those came as a result of Eli Manning passes.
Not much else has gone right for the Giants, either. The Giants defense has only managed two sacks through two games, usually a signature strength of New York teams. The defense as a whole has given up 77 points so far, most in the league. And the rushing game put up a whopping 23 yards off 19 carries against the Broncos. If there’s a reset button then New York needs to smack it immediately.
Last season the Giants visited the Panthers and came away victorious. With Carolina starting this season poorly then maybe a trip there is exactly what the doctor ordered. Manning might not be so prone to interceptions with Carolina’s defense coughing up over 400 yards of offense per game this season, and they just lost starting free safety Charles Godfrey for the season with a torn ACL.
What Carolina needs is for Cam Newton to get into gear. Newton has been struggling since last season and has only recorded an 86.4 passer rating through two games. He’s supposed to be their franchise quarterback, yet he can’t see to push his team to victory in the fourth quarter after the defense coughs up late leads. On the bright side, Carolina’s running game is churning on all cylinders with DeAngelo Williams leading his team to 259 yards already. Williams could potentially explode against the Giants and force New York to pinch their secondary, freeing up space for Newton to complete some passes.
The Carolina Panthers will host the New York Giants in week 3 of the 2013 NFL schedule with a start time of 1pm EST /10am PST, televised on the FOX channel in high definition (HD). Fox does not offer a free online live streaming version of this game to watch on a cell phone, tablet or other Internet device. The best way to access live online streaming is via NFL Sunday Ticket with Max here, and that can be watched on anything from a phone to computer to Xbox 360. I predict the Panthers get the best of the Giants by a score of 34-15, and New York’s turnovers against continue to tick up.
