Tonight’s NFL Sunday Night Football game on NBC will either extend an unbeaten streak or serve as a platform for reversal and redemption. The surprisingly 2-3 Green Bay Packers will try to right the ship on the road against the 5-0 Houston Texans. A devastating injury sustained during last week’s Monday Night Football game could derail the Texans. Or, they can rally around it and find continued motivation to perform at a high level. A free online live stream link for this game is available in the last paragraph below.
The Packers never thought they would be coming into this game with a losing record and two games back from the NFC North leaders. It looked like they may have found a groove last weekend after leading 21-3 at halftime against the Colts. However, the Colts rallied and the Packers were left wondering what went wrong not only in that game, but the whole season thus far.
Greg Jennings has been sorely missed in the Packers offense, and running back Cedric Benson ending up in the injured reserve doesn’t help matters either. Aaron Rodgers could use those weapons, but it’s still surprising he has been unable to find any semblance of consistency and generate offense near last season’s brisk 35 points-per-game pace.
The Texans have injury concerns of their own, name All-Pro linebacker Brian Cushing who was lost for the season in the last game. Tim Dobbins will fill in, but losing your top tackler is never easy to overcome.
After Green Bay’s defense coughed up last week’s game to the Colts in the second half, the extremely effective Texans offense should be licking their chops. Matt Schaub has been effective leading his squad in the huddle and in the air, while Arian Foster continues to rack up yards and is currently second in the league in rushing with 562 yards.
For those of you who cannot get in front of a TV for tonight’s game, you can watch the NFL live stream of the Green Bay Packers at the Houston Texans right here. Make sure you have proper anti-virus software installed and running, as you should with any live stream source that has intrusive ads. Picking tonight’s game is going to be a tough call. Right now the Texans offense is more proficient than the Packers so I have to give them the edge.
