Saturday’s first 2013 NFL preseason football game on the week three schedule sees two undefeated teams clash as the Washington Redskins play host to the Buffalo Bills. The football game will be televised on NFL Network with a start time of 1:30pm EST / 10:30am PST. Free live online streaming directions to watch off-air are directly below.
The Redskins enter this afternoon’s game heavily favored to exit victorious despite their quarterback Robert Griffin III (RG3) sitting out the entire preseason while he recovers from a knee injury. There’s a chance that backup quarterback Kirk Cousins will also sit today after a sprained right foot in last weekend’s win against the Steelers, which means third string quarterback Rex Grossman will get a lot of snaps today.
Grossman played the majority of the Steelers game after Cousins left with his injury. He was effective with 10-16 passing, 133 yards, and 1 touchdown to go with 1 interception. While not a great line, it was good enough for the win and could improve against the Bills as Grossman works off his rust.
The quarterback position is also a big story for the Bills as they try to determine who the starter will be in week one. Rookie EJ Manuel seems to be the favorite choice as newly signed Kevin Kolb, who has started in the preseason thus far, continues to struggle. Manuel came in and orchestrated an 80-yard touchdown drive on his first series against the Vikings last week.
A new coach and new quarterback seems to be a perfect formula for the Bills thus far. It’s only the preseason, but they’ve been rolling with 64 points scored to go along with their 2-0 record. A win against the Redskins on the road would send a statement to the rest of the league.
Today’s Saturday afternoon NFL preseason football game featuring the visiting Buffalo Bills and Washington Redskins kicks off on NFL Network in high definition (HD) at 1:30pm EST at FedEx Field. NFL Network provides free live online streaming to watch on laptops, iPads or mobile devices here for subscribers whose cable, satellite or broadband connections are with a specific provider.
I’m going to predict against the grain and call for a Buffalo Bills win by a tight final score.
