The Jacksonville Jaguars up against the New York Jets is the second nationally televised NFL week two preseason game this Saturday on the NFL Network. The football game has a kick off time of 7:30/6:30c. Free NFL live stream instructions for this east coast battle are at the bottom of this post.
The Jaguars head into tonight’s game after having been thoroughly outplayed in their preaseason opener 27-3 by the Dolphins. Ryan Tannehill had his way with the Jaguars defense including a touchdown pass, and the Jaguars had no answer for the Dolphins offense whether it was the first or third stringers.
Jacksonville’s starting quarterback spot still appears to be up for grabs as Blaine Gabbert and Chad Henne trade blows. Henne was stronger in the first game and able to move the first team offense quite well. Gabbert was the unfortunate recipient of dropped passes and had a less-than-stellar debut.
The Jets lost by 11 in week one and appear no closer to figuring out their mess of a quarterback situation. Mark Sanchez threw an interception that was run back for a touchdown, but did finish 10-13 for 125 yards and a touchdown. Geno Smith was playing well until he hurt his right ankle and is questionable to appear in tonight’s game.
New York’s second-string defense could be a concern after the Lions’ second string quarterback lit them up for 136 yards through the air and a touchdown. The Jaguars might be able to exploit that group tonight and overcome a deficit if Sanchez gets off to a hot start.
The NFL Network channel is the only place to watch tonight’s Jacksonville Jaguars at New York Jets football game on television (TV) in high definition (HD). If you can’t be around a TV and are a channel subscriber, the NFL Network offers a free live online streaming option here for a select group of cable, satellite and broadband services. Sanchez was strong aside from one mistake so I feel he’ll guide the Jets to a relatively easy win.
