Watch NBC's Mockingbird Lane Stream Online and Ratings ResultsNBC’s Mockingbird Lane finally got its public debut on Friday night via a special airing to take advantage of the Halloween season. Its ratings and viewer reaction may determine if the pilot eventually gets picked up to series after NBC passed it over earlier this year.

Mockingbird Lane comes from the mind of Pushing Daisies creator Bryan Fuller and was directed by X-Men helmer Bryan Singer. It is a reimagining of The Munsters for modern audiences and stars Jerry O’Connell as Herman Munster, Portia de Rossi as Lily Munster, Eddie Izzard as Grandpa, Mason Cook as Eddie Munster, and Charity Wakefield as cousin Marilyn.

NBC spent a reported $10 million the pilot which is rife with visual effects including Grandpa turning into his human self from a pack of rats and Lily teleporting herself through swirling smoke. It was a pricey gamble for NBC, perhaps too pricey considering the network did not have enough confidence in the pilot to order it to series. At least we still got to watch it as a Halloween special.

The ratings are in for the Mockingbird Lane debut and it performed admirably. A total of 5.44 million viewers tuned in to see the new Munster family move in. Of those, 1.5 million fell into the important advertiser-friendly 18-49 demo. Is that enough to convince NBC to order it to series for a short spring run? I doubt it, but stranger things have happened.

This morning NBC made the entire one-hour Mockingbird Lane Halloween special/pilot available to stream online. You can watch the streaming version below.
