The Miami Heat and Chicago Bulls are both well on their way to the NBA Playoffs. Today’s game is about whether the Heat can breaking a small losing streak and the Bulls can win for the second time in four games.
The Heat (43-16) have dropped two games in a row shortly after LeBron James went crazy with his 61 point outburst against Charlotte. They lost in Houston by a final score of 106-103 last Tuesday in a game that James had only made one basket heading into halftime.
In the next game against the Spurs in San Antonio, the Heat were thoroughly crushed with James only shooting 6 for 18 in that game. The thought is that the long-sleeve jerseys are affecting LeBron’s play and he will certainly ditch them today in Chicago.
The Bulls (34-28) are one of the best defensive teams in the league and no stranger to trying to slow down James. Against other teams in the league James shoots nearly 40 percent on his jump shots. Against the Bulls his shooting percentage is much lower at 26.5 percent.
Chicago had been surging and jumped into the top four teams in the Eastern Conference. However, over the past week, they have dropped two of three. Their last loss was against the Grizzlies at home on Friday by a final score of 85-77 in which Joakim Noah was the only player to score in double figures for the Bulls.
