Tiger Woods makes his long awaited 2014 debut today aa the Farmers Insurance Open 2014 golf tournament officially tees off at Torrey Pines Golf Course in La Jolla, California. The big question for everyone tuning in today is what time does Tiger Woods tee off? The answer to that question is 1:40pm EST / 10:40am PST where Woods has been placed in Group 11 along with Jimmy Walker and sophomore Jordan Spieth on the South Tee #1. Group 42 will tee off at 12:20pm EST / 9:20am PST on North Tee #10 and includes a tough trio of Hunter Mahan, Bradley Keegan and Brandt Snedeker. Speaking of Snedeker, he won the Farmers Insurance Open back in 2012 and knows exactly what it takes to win it, even if his past few tournaments have yielded mediocre results.
Right behind Group 42 are a trio of notable names in Group 43 including Jason Day, Phil Mickelson and Bubba Watson. Mickelson is fresh off a close loss at the HSBC Golf Championship a week ago in which he ended the tournament one stroke behind the winner despite coughing up a triple bogey in the final round.
Today’s Round 1 of the 2014 Farmers Insurance Open television coverage will formally start at 3pm EST / 12pm PST or three hours after the first player tees off.
