Warner Home Video has released the technical specifications and complete extra features list for their upcoming Blu-ray Disc version of ‘The Fountain.’ As anticipated, Warner has forgone including lossless audio with a new theatrical instead, instead opting for the identical Dolby Digital 5.1 lossy mix that will also be available on the standard DVD. The HD DVD specs have yet to be revealed, though given Blu-ray’s specs it’s safe to assume Dolby Digital Plus 5.1 lossy on the red side.
The extra features included are a smidgeon more robust than the initial press release lead us to believe. In addition to the six-part documentary Inside the Fountain: Death and Rebirth you can expect The Interview, VFX Step by Step, Inside the Director’s Mind: Scene to Storyboard Comparison, Peter Parks Bonus: Macro Photography Loop, and the Theatrical Trailer.
