According to a report at www.homemediaretailing.com, Sony BMG is gearing up to release its inaugural Blu-ray Disc titles sometime this summer. Both “Rod Stewart: Live at Royal Albert Hall” and “John Legend: Live at the House of Blues” were originally filmed in high definition, making them the perfect guinea pigs for Sony BMG to test the waters with.
“Rod Stewart: Live at Royal Albert Hall” contains songs like “Maggie May” and also include a 10-minute documentary. “John Legend, Live at the House of Blues” contains songs like “Ordinary People” as well as behind-the-scenes footage and an interview with the star.
