Today at the Playstation Store via the Playstation Network, Sony will release the most anticipated arcade-based title and a second map pack for one of their most popular Playstation 3 console-based titles to date.
PAIN captures the irreverent style of humor found in slapstick movies and online video clips and puts control of the chaos in the players’ hands. PAIN boldly tackles a rarely explored area of video gaming: comedy. The core, unique mechanic of the game allows the player to load a character into an extreme launching device, a human-sized, ultra-powerful slingshot, and fire the character into an active, physics-controlled downtown environment riddled with precarious, humorous and sometimes suggestive situations. In addition, the second set of map packs will be available for Resistance: Fall of Man to give gamers new arenas to battle war in. The two maps, available for $4.99, include Bracknell and Axbridge. Bracknell is a foreboding Chimeran node and Widowmaker breeding ground designed for both vertical and close-quarters combat whereas Axbridge has the perfect blend of frantic close quarters combat and concealed sniping perches.
