Week 13 featured a rare push in the “Beat the House” competition as the two games in question were split. Both factions posted 10 wins apiece. After thirteen weeks of the most dreadful football the league has ever seen, the score is 7 to 3 in favor of the members, with three pushes. Everybody’s favorite sim, NFL Madden 08 on the Xbox 360, came in with a 9-7 record again.
After 13 weeks of the 2007 regular season, the numbers are:
* | TheManRoom | Madden Sim | Members |
Week 13: | 10-6 | 9-7 | 10-6 |
2007 Overall: | 112-80 | 78-94 | 122-71 |
The Challenge
The two games disagreed-upon were the Thursday night contest between the Cowboys and Packers and the Bills/Skins game. We all saw how the Thursday night game went… oh wait, no we didn’t. Well, Dallas won. The members disagreed with the Bills beating the Redskins, but the trends show that the game after a team faces a great tragedy, they lose. Trends also show that Joe Gibbs has completely forgotten how to coach… possibly even think.
jfgormly posted 12 out of 16 correct picks in week 13, and is our winner via the overall pick tie-breaker. He has won Tenacious D in the Pick of Destiny on DVD, courtesy of New Line Home Entertainment.
The League
Again, the only real story in the NFL these days is whether or not the Patriots** lost or not. Once again, they almost did… the a sub-500 team. It took two total self-destructions in the final minutes of the last two games for the Pats’* no-talent opponents to lose. They might finish up the regular season perfect, but all will be for naught when they finally play a good team in the playoffs. 16-1 is pretty embarrassing when that one loss comes in the first playoff game.
Fantasy Land
Romo, Tomlinson and Ward led their respective positions this week and Lofa Tatupu bitch-slapped a QB that shouldn’t be in the NFL to the tune of 3 interceptions. John Beck wins the suck award this week.

Tony Romo – Dallas Cowboys
In 37-27 win over the Carolina Panthers
Running Back:

In 24-10 win over the Kansas City Royals
Receivers:
