When we first heard about Test Drive Unlimited’s Massively Open Online Racing (M.O.O.R.) on the island of Hawaii, we envisioned hundreds of cars colliding in the same spot at the same time. Not even the power of the Xbox 360 can pull that off so let’s look at what M.O.O.R. really has to offer. Yes, there will be an unlimited number of cars on the island at one time; however, only 7 or 8 will be visible at any given time. Should more cars be within the immediate vicinity, the M.O.O.R. system will only display those that best match your preferences. Not only will you be able to see those other cars, you’ll be able to enter instant challenges with one or all of them, and talk smack via the headset both in freeride and challenge mode. If this innovative new mode can run smoothly and the preference matchmaking works as it should, Test Drive Unlimited should be a no-brainer Xbox 360 game purchase.
