‘Halo 3’ Online Co-Op to Feature 4-Player Support

Bungie finally did it. After failing to meet massive fan demand for co-operative online play in ‘Halo 2’ and then hinting it may not appear in ‘Halo 3’ either, Bungie has announced online co-op is a done deal. But wait, there’s more. They’ve gone above and beyond our expectations and will be delivering four-player co-op support over Xbox Live. How freaking cool is that? You, three friends, and four cases of beer. Bring it.

There are some limitations, of course. Each of the four players will be assigned to a pre-determined warrior: Master Chief, Arbiter, and two new Sangheili Elites. Frankly, we wouldn’t care if only wheelchair-bound Grunts were available. Four player co-op makes us giddy regardless. The only potential sour apple that could kill the deal would be major lag issues, but we have faith Bungie will come through with flying colors and blazing speed.
